Google Play Console Developer Account
Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating your Google Play account and enrolling in the Developer Program for your Android apps. By joining the Google Play Developer Program, you gain the ability to publish and manage your apps on the Play Store. The best part? Since the app will be linked to your own account, you'll have full control over its management and distribution.
Before you begin you will need: A traditional Google account. Make sure you have created an account at https://accounts.google.com/SignUp.
How to Set Up Your Google Play Developer Account
- Go to the Google Play Developer Console: https://play.google.com/apps/publish/signup and log in with your Google Login.
-
Select to create a developer account for “An Organization or Business”
Note: An organization or business account is required
-
Provide details about your organization. The Developer Name is what users will see on the Play Store, while the Organization Name is your official legal name. These can be different from each other.
-
Agree to Terms & click “Create Account and Pay”
- Pay for the account
-
Verify Your ID: After completing the payment, you'll receive a confirmation that your account has been created. However, the setup isn’t finished yet. On the screen, you'll see an option to finalize your account verification. Click on "Verify ID" to proceed.
-
Upload Organization Identity. You will be asked to upload company documents AND/OR personal identification documents (like a government-issued ID). Do so and submit. You should get a confirmation telling you that Verification is in Process.
-
Once your account has been approved, you’ll need to grant access to TheNextLevel. Login to your Google Play Developer Console at https://play.google.com/console and click on Users and Permissions in the left menu. Then click Invite new users and enter email address shana@thenextlevel.app with Admin Permissions
